Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid._______________________________________Signature of Contractor and Date The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings: 1. Question: Builders Risk coverage will be difficult to obtain on anything except the bathroom building. Will Builders Risk be required for the entire amount of the project?Answer: Builders risk will be required for bathroom facility, pavilion, boardwalk, and dune crossovers. 2. Question: In the past, FDEP has required the Builders Risk policy to be bound before the contract has been executed. The contract could take 3 months to be executed and this adds time and cost to the Builders Risk policy. Will the contractor be required to bind the Builders Risk coverage before the contract is executed?Answer: Potential bidders shall refer to the INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS, Section C: Instruction to Bidders, B-29 Insurance, and Section F: General Conditions, Part Two, Article 9: Insurance, regarding insurance requirements. 3. Question: Will the contractor be allowed to drive equipment on the sand dunes to install the pilings for the dune walkovers?Answer: Temporary impact to the dune vegetation is anticipated within a corridor centered around the footprint of the walkovers. The Contractor may propose to use an access route along the dune crest for Engineer/Owner review. However, notable requirements for such a proposal include avoiding permanent impacts, minimizing temporary impact to the greatest extent practical, restoration of all grades and vegetation to the pre-construction condition, existing vegetation relocation, maintenance of boundaries of the corridor using public exclusionary devises (e.g., safety netting/fencing), and monitoring the construction corridors for nesting shorebirds during nesting season. 4. Question: Will the City provide a building permit allowance/amount for the project?Answer: Yes, potential bidders are to include an allowance of $15,000.00 for the building permit with the bid. 5. Question: The "shoreline protection" portion of the project limits our access to the end portion of the boardwalk. Will the contractor be allowed to drive equipment on the South side of the property to access/build the end of the boardwalk?Answer: Yes, the contractor can traverse the unvegetated areas of parcel and should maintain public exclusionary devises (e.g., safety netting/fencing) along active construction corridors. In all other respects, the contract documents of which this is an Addendum, and attachments relative thereto, shall remain in full force and effect.
