NOTICE It will be required that this addendum be signed in acknowledgment of receipt and that it be included with your Bid when same is submitted to Logan Lee-Marple, Contracts Specialist, Bureau of Design and Construction, 3800 Commonwealth Blvd., MS #520, Tallahassee, Florida, 32399-3000. Failure to do so may be grounds for rejection of the Bid. _______________________________________Signature of Contractor and Date The following statements supersede & supplement the corresponding items in the specifications & drawings: Please clarify whether or not the awarded Contractor will be permitted to clear a path within the designated limits of construction. For the 10” piles called for on this project, the predrilled hole shall not exceed the pile diameter. If obstructions or rock is encountered, the predrilled hole shall not exceed a diameter of 12” through the obstruction. Clean sand shall be backfilled where obstructions must be drilled through. 4. Will jetting be permitted for pile installation? Please provide parameters.Response: The USACE permit was approved through the JaxBO. The contractor may select any installation methods approved under the JaxBO. The boardwalk should be constructed in a manner that complies with the approved permits and is environmentally sensitive. From there, means and methods are at the discretion of the Contractor. 5. As you drive into the far beach area, what is the loading designation for the existing timber bridge that spans the creek just east of the visitor center/aquarium?Response: The Contractor shall be advised there is a maximum limit of 31.5 tons per axle on the Beach Road over Calley Slough Bridge. 6. Is there any designated or supplied staging areas? If so, please provide specifics/details.Response: The staging area will be coordinated at the pre-construction meeting. 7. What is the anticipated boots on ground start date?Response: The start date is to be determined. 8.
