The Senate of Canada invites “Bidders” to respond to this Request for Proposal (RFP) for off-site security screening, scanning and sorting of Senate mail and packages; as well as for all trucks delivering goods to the Senate precinct, at an off-site location. The term of any resulting contract will be for (3) three years with (2) two one-year option periods. Bidders must contact the Contract Authority at proc-appr@sen.parl.gc.ca and sign a non-disclosure form in order to receive the RFP documents. Once the signed form is sent to the Senate, open-source security verifications will be conducted on the vendor and representative. The RFP documents will be forwarded to the bidder after this verification is performed to the Contract Authority’s satisfaction. All enquiries regarding this RFP must be received by e-mail at: proc-appr@sen.parl.gc.ca by the Contracting Authority noted below, no later than March 3, 2026, at 11h00 EST. Enquiries received after that time may not be answered. Bidders should reference as accurately as possible the numbered item of the bid solicitation to which the enquiry relates. All communication or inquiries must be directed ONLY to the contracting authority. Non-compliance with this condition for that reason alone will result in the disqualification of Bidder’s proposal to ensure the equality of information among Bidder, answers to enquiries which are relevant to the RFSO will be provided to all Bidders by simultaneously posting responses to CanadaBuys without revealing the sources of the inquiry
