Solicitation SPE8ES-26-T-2802 is a request for quotations issued by the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Construction and Equipment for the procurement of five tubes of gray solid paste adhesive, identified by NSN 8040-01-685-5306. The requirement specifies a 2.8 ounce size and identifies the product as RTV157 from Momentive Performance Materials Inc. The items are to be delivered FOB Destination to the USS Chung Hoon DDG 93 with an original required delivery date of September 18, 2026, and a delivery window of 20 days after order. The contract includes strict technical and safety requirements, including a non-extendable 12-month shelf life and a storage temperature range between 60 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit. Because the material is classified as hazardous, the supplier must submit Safety Data Sheets and Hazardous Communication Standard labels for approval prior to award in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.1200 and Federal Standard No. 313-E. Packaging and marking must comply with MIL-STD-129 and RP001, with hazardous materials shipping governed by IP025. This product labeling is required for hazardous materials delivered to the Government.
3. Finally, suppliers must train their employees on the new safety data sheets, hazardous communication labels, and requirements of 29 C.F.R. 1910.1200.
