The USDA/Forest Service, Rocky Mountain Area Incident Support Cache (RMK) intends to procure an estimated number of Adjustable Sprinkler Head Assembly (NFES 0998) listed in the “Deliverables and Services” section for use during prescribed burns and wildfire incidents.


The National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) establishes standards for fire supplies and equipment in the National Fire Equipment System (NFES) Catalog Part 1: Fire Supplies and Equipment, (PMS 449-1).  National Interagency Support Caches (NISC) provide necessary equipment to field crews, wildland fire fighters, support staff, and other essential personnel for deployment to wildfire and prescribed fire incidents following NWCG standards. Adjustable Sprinkler Head Assembly NFES 0998 are new items not yet included in the NFES catalog. They will be included in Water Handling Kit 1048 along with the current non-adjustable Sprinkler Head Assembly NFES 0999 and may possibly replace NFES 0999 completely.

The Adjustable Sprinkler Head Assembly shall contain 3 pieces:


  1. Full or part-circle (adjustable) solid brass or bronze impact sprinkler head.
