Adoption of the DR Efficiency Ordinance, Efficiency Ordinance, and Resolution Amending the DR Guidelines, and Adoption of an Urgency Ordinance Version of the DR

The City of Laguna Beach is implementing the Efficiency Ordinance and the DR Efficiency Ordinance to streamline design review and permitting processes. This action extends Urgency Ordinance No. 1732 for 22 months and 15 days and involves comprehensive amendments to the Municipal Code and the Local Coastal Program. Specifically, the updates affect zoning, plats and subdivisions, excavating, grading, and filling, as well as regulations regarding noise, heritage tree preservation, view preservation, and private sewer laterals. Additionally, the project includes an urgency ordinance version of the DR Efficiency Ordinance and amendments to the Design Guidelines for residential development. Managed by the Deputy Director of Community Development, this initiative aims to optimize administrative procedures and regulatory guidelines within the city of Laguna Beach, California.
