The contract awarded under this RFP shall be subject to any restrictions, limitations, and/or conditions imposed by County or State or federal funding sources that may in any way affect the fiscal provisions of funding for this contract. This contract is also contingent upon sufficient funds being made available by County, state, or federal funding sources for the term of the contract. If the federal or state governments reduce financial participation in the Medi-Cal program, County agrees to meet with Contractor to discuss renegotiating the services required by this agreement. Funding is provided by fiscal year. For the purposes of this agreement, the fiscal year begins July 1 and ends the following June 30. Any unspent fiscal year appropriation does not roll over and is not available for services provided in subsequent years. The County will select the proposal that presents the best value and is most advantageous to the County and the public. Accordingly, the County may not necessarily award the proposer with the lowest price proposal if doing so would not be in the overall best interest of the County. The County reserves the right to expand or reduce the proposed scope of services during the contract negotiations based on budget constraints and to award single or multiple proposers. The proposed period of the contract is 3 year term with the possibility of a single 1-year extension for a Contractor performing satisfactorily. The execution of this extension is at the sole discretion of the Behavioral Health Department.
