Full Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a sole source Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract modification under contract N00019-14-C-0037 to General Atomics, San Diego, California for the procurement of Advanced Arresting Gear (AAG) component hardware in support of the AAG Runway Assisted Landing Site located in Lakehurst, NJ. The contract was awarded in the amount of $11,231,472, plus an unexercised option in the amount of $82,930. This acquisition was conducted on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(b)(1), "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
