The Department of Veterans Affairs is contemplating issuing a solicitation resulting in award of a single contract to provide for the high priority procurement of spare mission critical circuit breakers required to sustain Data Center Power System operations. Delivery of circuit breakers shall be considered standard delivery. This procurement of spare circuit breakers will support the Data Center’s mission critical power systems requiring micro-controlled, automatically operating, shelf racking, large amperage, circuit breakers. These breakers are considered the most complicated and most reliable breakers in the industry for safety protection devices used to protect connected equipment. These circuit breakers are installed in computer-controlled Generator Paralleling Switchgear systems that must operate safely while switching between utility and generator power.
