UPDATE: 27 July 2018 Please see attached amended solicitation along with a revised Statement of Work (SOW), questions and answers, UFC guidance, and DOD Airlift document. The response due date is being extended to 1:00pm Alaska time, 7 Aug 2018. End Update. UPDATE: 20 July 2018 The Government will be issuing an amendment to this solicitation next week. The proposal due date will be extended. The following changes are expected: 1. Solicitation will required offerors to propose runway painting using type I and type III beads. The government will determine which bead to use. Section L & M will be updated to show two TEP will be used, one for type I beads and one for type III beads. Only one will be selected for award. 2. ETL 04-2 was replaced by UFC 3-260-04. The SOW will be updated to show the correct references. 3. 3. Runway is currently marked as a Precision Instrument Runway it needs to be marked as a Non-Precision Instrument runway. See UFC 3-260-04 5-2.5 and Figure 5-1. 4. Existing paint on the runway is extremely faded and we do not believe there are any areas that would require paint removal due to excessive build up. Incorrect airfiled markings are the only things that need complete paint removal. 5. Crew will have to go through airfield drivers training with the WI airfield manager upon arrival and will maintain radio contact with the airfield manager while on the airfield. 6. Several questions are still being answered so these changes are not all inclusive. End update. Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska has an Airfield Paint and Rubber Removal requirement involving: - Airfield Paint and Rubber Removal at the following remote geographically separated locations: 1) Wake Island Airfield (WI), Wake Island, US Territory See Attached Statement of Work and Solicitation.
