Agency Wide Digital Communication Management Services

The Carahsoft contract allows the agency to utilize GovDelivery/Granicus service, and is a critical tool for clear, efficient, and effective agency communication. In 2024, the agency used GovDelivery to send information and communications products to more than 106 million people. These communications vary in content from agency-wide science news and announcements to division and directorate communications with grant applicants and awardees about grant opportunities and job vacancies. Without this contract, the amount of agency resources necessary to continue the current level of effective engagement would increase significantly, and the communities we serve would likely not receive the same level of service. This agency-wide service directly supports NSF’s mandate under the CHIPS and Science Act of 2022 (P.L. 117-167) amended the general authorities of the Foundation to include the following: “to provide for the widest practicable and appropriate dissemination of information within the United States concerning the Foundation's activities and the results of those activities.” 42 USC §1870(l).
