The Owatonna School District 761 is seeking proposals for five managed network switches with performance and specifications comparable to the Extreme Networks 5120-24XT, each featuring 24 ports capable of 10Gbps connectivity including fiber/SFP+ support and high-speed uplink capabilities. The equipment must integrate seamlessly with the district’s existing Extreme Networks infrastructure, including the 440G2, 460G2, 5520, and 5540 series switches, ensuring full compatibility with management protocols such as ExtremeCloud IQ and Universal Hardware feature sets. Vendors must demonstrate that their solutions support standard 10G fiber optic transceivers, VLAN standards, and stacking/uplink performance without requiring architectural changes, additional software licensing, or network reconfiguration. The scope of work includes professional installation, physical mounting, firmware updates, port configuration, VLAN tagging, and initial turn-up testing to ensure immediate operational readiness. All proposed hardware and services must deliver identical functionality and management integration as the current network environment, eliminating the need for retraining or infrastructure modifications.
