Offerors are responsible for the costs of developing a qualification test plan, conducting performance and environmental evaluations, and providing a pre-contract award qualification article for form, fit, and function evaluation. The qualification process is estimated to cost approximately 10,000 dollars and take 1,465 days due to the complexity of the transmitter. While full qualification is generally required for contract eligibility, waivers may be granted to sources that have previously supplied the item to the government or OEM, or those qualified to provide similar assemblies or previous dash numbers of the same part. Technical data for the transmitter includes a comprehensive Repair Data List featuring schematic diagrams and test specifications for various subassemblies, such as the high voltage power supply and RF monitor. The solicitation was posted on June 2, 2026, with a response deadline of December 1, 2028.
