PROJECT OVERVIEW a) Bow Operations has a large area from Calgary east to Brooks and Hanna and south to Vulcan, with several vertical turbine Pumps, compressors and valves that require routine maintenance and occasional emergency repairs to ensure proper and reliable operation. This infrastructure is a vital part of supplying irrigation and domestic water to many users on our systems and we must ensure reliable operation and prompt repairs as required. b) Project Objectives- AGI requires an experienced company that can provide regular inspections, service and diagnostic ability to ensure the efficient operation of the motors, pumps and compressor components of the systems, as well as valve service, and component replacement capabilities. The service provider will be responsible for providing all of the required health and safety apparatus to complete the work described above, including but not limited to personal protective equipment, harnesses, hoists and air quality monitors. The service provider will be permitted to use the overhead crane in the Deadfish Pumphouse, in cooperation with the Deadfish Pumphouse Operator. As the scope of the repairs and parts replacement work will not be known until the components are inspected in detail, the service provider is asked to supply a labour rate and parts mark-up rate for this portion of the work with the quotation. In the event that during the servicing, the service provider determines additional parts require replacement and or repair, prior to commencement of replacement or repair the service provider must advise AGI, and AGI will approve in writing any additional replacement or repair of parts which must be charged in accordance with the labour and parts rates quoted. c) Project Structure/Business Model - This Contract will be administered by Alberta Agriculture and Irrigation (AGI) , Water Infrastructure Operations Branch (WIOB) located in Calgary, AB and the site contact for the work will be located in Vulcan, AB. d) Key Stakeholders – Key stakeholders of this water infrastructure includes the general public, municipalities, industry, domestic and irrigation water users on the Water Supply Systems.
