AHU Replacement & Repair - McKinley Ave

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is soliciting bids for a firm fixed price contract to replace and repair failed or deteriorated components of air handling units (AHUs) at the McKinley Avenue facility. The scope of work includes the installation of Baldor supply blower motors and Greenheck blower wheels for M-1 AHU-03, as well as the replacement of heating coils for Innovent AHU-2 and AHU-10. The contractor is responsible for all labor, materials, rigging, and tools, ensuring that all components are OEM or COTA-approved equivalents. All work must be completed within a six-month period from the effective date or notice to proceed, and must include a minimum one-year workmanship warranty along with comprehensive technical documentation such as functional testing and leak-test results. Award will be granted to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder based on the lowest evaluated price. Bidders must submit their responses via the online procurement portal by November 19, 2026, including a Form W-9 and several notarized affidavits regarding taxes, non-collusion, lobbying, and debarment. The contract requires compliance with various federal and state regulations, including Buy America, DBE program requirements, and cybersecurity insurance mandates. Payment is issued on a lump-sum basis net 30 days following the completion, testing, and acceptance of the work by COTA.
