AI Contract Overview
The U.S. Government is seeking contractors to lease, deploy, operate, and support four AI-powered Mosquito Surveillance System units for use at Eighth Army installations in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. These intelligent, field-deployable smart traps are designed to attract and capture mosquitoes, automatically image specimens, and identify medically significant mosquito species with at least 95% accuracy using AI technology. The systems must transmit data, including species identification and trap status, to a secure government-accessible cloud dashboard in near real-time. Deployment locations include Camp Bonifas, Warrior Base, Dagmar North Training Area, and Rodriguez Live Fire Complex, with final placement subject to approval by the installation Public Health Entomologist to ensure optimal surveillance relevant to soldier environments. The contract period is set from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Interested parties are invited to submit capability statements that detail their relevant experience and technical qualifications, demonstrating their ability to meet these stringent requirements. This notice serves purely for market research purposes and does not represent a solicitation or request for proposals. The government emphasizes that contractors should recommend placement strategies that maximize the capture of target vector species, and reserves the right to request relocation of units if initial positions prove unsuitable. Point of contact information is provided for further inquiries.
