Randolph Community College is seeking qualifications for building and building systems commissioning services for the renovation of an existing 25,000 square foot warehouse into the Applied Industrial Artificial Intelligence Center of North Carolina (AI2C). The facility, which consists of CMU block walls and an interior steel frame over a concrete slab, will be converted into classroom and lab spaces for artificial intelligence, agribusiness, building trades, and customized training. The selected vendor will collaborate with the design architect, general contractor, and owner to provide design input and quality assurance oversight from the design development phase through owner occupancy, ensuring all systems are installed and performing according to project requirements. The total project budget is 9,895,000.00 dollars. Interested firms must be properly licensed to practice architecture, engineering, or landscape architecture in the State of North Carolina and provide evidence of specialized expertise and past performance on similar projects. Submissions must include three copies of a Letter of Interest, limited to ten single-sided or five double-sided pages, and three copies of the current Standard Form 254. All documents must be 8-1/2 by 11 inches and stapled in the upper left-hand corner; the use of binders, tabs, clips, email, or fax is strictly prohibited.
