The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) has secured an exemption from the requirement to publish a notice in the New York State Contract Reporter for a five-year contract extension with John W Danforth Company to provide air conditioning services across multiple Finger Lakes DDSOO community group homes. This exemption, approved by the State Comptroller, is based on the contract being a single-source award, and the agreement covers various locations within counties such as Chemung, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Schuyler, Seneca, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates. The contract period runs from May 1, 2020, through April 30, 2025, with an end date for advertising set for January 17, 2025. The contract's estimated value ranges between $500,000 and $2,000,000, and the services are categorized under NAICS code 812990. The procurement process was conducted as a solicitation with the title "Air Conditioning Services," and the response deadline was January 17, 2025. The primary contact for inquiries is Jennifer Vallely, reachable via email at [email hidden] or by phone at [phone hidden]. This contract amendment ensures continued service delivery without the need for public advertising due to the single-source award status, emphasizing the specialized nature of the services and the established relationship with the awarded provider.
