The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Small Business Office at Hanscom Air Force Base is organizing a Small Business event scheduled for March 6, 2019, at the Marriott Newton Hotel in Newton, Massachusetts. The event begins at 2:00 p.m. EST in the Charles River Room and features a 90-minute panel discussion focusing on small business topics. This panel includes senior leaders from various AFLCMC directorates, the Small Business Administration, senior contracting officials, and representatives from the Hanscom Small Business Office. Following brief introductions and opening remarks, the panel will hold a Q&A session. Attendance is limited to three representatives per company due to seating restrictions, and while registration is not required and no fee is charged, seating will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. This event is distinct from the larger New Horizons event. The event targets companies involved in industries related to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes typical of Hanscom AFB acquisitions, such as electrical contracting, electronic manufacturing, telecommunications, engineering services, computer programming, and security systems services, among others. However, businesses are not required to be registered under these specific NAICS codes to attend. The point of contact for this event includes the Director of Small Business Programs, Jeffery L. Emmons, and Small Business Specialist Ellen McDonnell, both accessible via provided email and phone contacts. This opportunity aims to facilitate interaction between small businesses and key Air Force contracting and program management leaders to support federal acquisition goals.
