Air Force - Small UAS & Asymmetric Capabilities - Commercial Solutions Opening

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Special Operations and ISR Directorate has announced a Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) through its Special Operations and Personnel Recovery Division and Capabilities Development Office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. This CSO is designed to solicit innovative commercial solutions for future requirements related to small unmanned aerial systems and asymmetric capabilities. Rather than immediate procurement, the CSO establishes a framework for industry to respond to specific forthcoming problem statement calls, each with its own response requirements and timelines. Notably, this announcement does not commit the government to any contracts or provide current funding, nor does it accept unsolicited proposals at this stage. Set for an initial 12-month period ending September 3, 2026, with an annual review for potential renewal, the CSO allows the Air Force to consider both FAR Part 12 and Other Transaction agreements for awarded solutions in the future. The office managing this procurement effort is based at Wright Patterson AFB, in Ohio, and all detailed CSO guidance is provided through associated documentation.
