The 96th Test Wing at Eglin Air Force Base intends to award a sole source firm-fixed price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity contract to Teletronics Technology Corp. for technical engineering support and maintenance of Airborne Data Recorders (ADRs), specifically Models MSSR 2010 and AIM-4000. The contract will cover spare parts and repair, refurbishment, and upgrade services for these systems, which support Department of Defense developmental and operational flight testing across various weapon platforms. The existing software and hardware for these ADRs were developed by the incumbent contractor, and proprietary rights prevent the government from providing a technical data package to other vendors. The contract is planned for a one-year base period with four additional option years, to be awarded under the contract number FA2487-14-D-0105, with an anticipated award date late in 2014. This procurement falls under the North American Industry Classification System code 334511, with a size standard of 750 employees. As this is a sole source acquisition pursuant to FAR 6.302-1(a)(2), it is not open for competitive bidding, but all responsible parties may submit capability statements for consideration within 15 days of the notice’s publication. The government will review these submissions but retains discretion over whether to pursue competition. No development funding is involved in this effort, and maintenance will support the official upkeep and operational flight test requirements of the Air Force Test Center. Contract questions and submissions are directed to designated Air Force contracting officials.
