The US Coast Guard is seeking to award a firm-fixed price purchase order under solicitation number HSCG29-16-Q-8AS538 for the procurement of HGU-56/P Flight Helmets in CG Blue. The requirement includes a total of 15 helmets across various sizes, ranging from XX-Small to X-Large. This acquisition is intended to be a sole source award to Capewell Aerial Systems LLC, as they are identified as the only responsible source capable of satisfying the agency's requirements. The estimated value of the procurement is 24,000 dollars, with the acquisition justified by safety mandates, aircrew personal protective equipment authorizations, and a lack of government-owned technical data for these commercial off-the-shelf items. The items are to be delivered to US Coast Guard Air Station Corpus Christi in Texas by July 10, 2016. This solicitation falls under NAICS code 339113 and is not a small business set-aside. Interested parties were required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database and submit quotes by May 18, 2016. Evaluation of quotes is based on pricing and delivery, with all terms and conditions governed by FAR Subpart 12.6 and the Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-44.
