THE CITY OF DALTON seeks competitive Proposals from contractors for the supply and installation of ¿ New Artificial Turf Baseball Fields For: Al Rollins Park¿, located at 521 Threadmill Road Dalton GA 30721 (the ¿Project¿). In general, the project includes the installation of four artificial turf baseball fields at Al Rollins Park. The contractor will supply and install stone base, storm drainage, nailers, artificial turf, infill, base inserts, field striping and all other materials & labor required for a complete installation. The requirements for construction of the Project, and the duties and responsibilities of the contractor whose Proposal is accepted (¿Successful Contractor¿), are set forth in the Contract Documents. The contractor will be required to coordinate with the City for the scheduling, phasing and installation of the artificial turf system. Under a separate contract, the City will remove soil to sub-grade and provide a connection point for the contractor¿s underdrainage system. The City will also provide a concrete perimeter curb for the installation of the wood nailer. Any Contractor who intends to submit a Proposal is required to attend a Pre-Proposal Meeting, which will be held on the 25th day of August 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at the office KRH Architects Inc., 855 Abutment Road Suite 4 Dalton, GA 30721. Any contractor arriving more than 5 minutes late will not be permitted to attend. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of Dalton Finance Department located at 300 W. Waugh Street, Dalton, Georgia 30720 until: 2:00 P.M. on the 8th day of September 2026. In evaluating Proposals, the City may seek additional information from any contractor concerning such proposal or its qualifications to construct the Project. The City may elect to short-list firms and conduct interviews prior to making a selection. Interviews / presentations will be scheduled for September 10th and 11th. Short-listed firms will be notified by the end of day on September 8th.
