Amendment One -Two Sonosite Edge Ultrasound Machines

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USU), located in Bethesda, MD, has a requirement for two (2) SonoSite Edge ultrasound machine. The ultrasound will be utilized in the SimCenter (SimCen) to train Uniformed Services University students to perform procedures using the equipment that they are most likely to encounter once they graduate from USU and provide care in military hospitals for our wounded warriors. One of the major responsibilities of USU is to train future military healthcare providers on the equipment that they will most likely encounter while working on our servicemen and woman. Based on the above, competition is limited to the SonoSite Edge ultrasound machine. Quotes for alternative ultrasound machines will not be considered. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotes (RFQ) for commercial items in accordance with the procedures of FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. This RFQ incorporates all provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 05-75 (July 25, 2014) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) (August 5, 2014). This requirement is set-aside for small business concerns under NAICS code 423450 (Medical, Dental, and Hospital Equipment and Supplies Merchant Wholesalers) with a size standard of 100 employees. In order to be eligible for award, offerors must be registered in www.SAM.gov, with completed representations and certifications. Offerors interested in responding to this requirement must provide a quote for two SonoSite Edge. A single firm fixed-priced (FFP) order will be awarded.
