AI Contract Overview
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane is soliciting a sole-source procurement from Ametek Programmable Power Inc. and its authorized distributors under FAR 13.106-1 for specific electronic components critical to existing systems, including two EX1206A chassis, two EX1200-2007A multiplexer modules, four 160pin to 80pin unterminated cables, eight 41pin unterminated cables, and six EX1200-2001 SPST switch modules, all with designated part numbers. The procurement is unrestricted under NAICS code 335999 with no set-aside, and is being conducted as a simplified acquisition under FAR Part 13 due to the integrated nature of these components within the customer's program, justifying the non-competitive approach. All offerors must be currently registered in the System for Award Management and are required to validate or submit relevant small business representations, including small business, small disadvantaged business, and WOSB joint venture status if applicable. The contract requires strict compliance with military marking standards, including MIL-STD-130 for Unique Item Identification and MIL-STD-129 for shipping and storage labeling, with machine-readable data elements verified using approved automatic identification technology. The line items are firm fixed price, with delivery due 14 weeks after award to NSWC Crane’s Supply Operations Building 41 in Crane, Indiana, under FOB Contractor Destination terms. The contract incorporates numerous mandatory clauses including prohibitions on inverted domestic corporations, child and convict labor, trafficking in persons, hexavalent chromium, export controls, Buy American provisions, and electronic payment requirements via Wide Area Workflow. Payment submissions must follow WAWF protocols, with specific document types required based on item classification and accompanied by email notifications to the COR and Contracting Officer to ensure timely processing. All proposals must be submitted via email to cassidy.k.shaw.civ@us.navy.mil no later than 12:00 PM Eastern Time on 28 May 2026, and offerors are responsible for continuously monitoring sam.gov for any amendments to the solicitation.
