Solicitation N0017822RC604 was issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division for the procurement of a power amplifier expansion and supporting accessories. The project specifically requires upgrading an existing 240 KVA amplifier to a 480 KVA capacity, encompassing factory integration, testing, delivery to Dahlgren, Virginia, system set-up, interface analysis, and on-site operational training. Due to the need for compatibility and interface with existing equipment manufactured by Unholtz Dickie Corporation, the government intended to award this requirement on a sole source basis to avoid the costs and delays associated with a full system redesign. The procurement was conducted as a Request for Quotation for commercial items under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with a firm fixed price structure. Award eligibility required registration in the System for Award Management, and the selection was based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable criteria. The effort falls under NAICS code 335999 for electrical and electronic equipment components and was managed by the Department of Defense. Proposals were due by February 9, 2022, with an anticipated award date of March 4, 2022.
