Full Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command, Quantico, VA intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price, sole source contract, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to Raytheon, 1601 N. Plano Road, Richardson, Texas 75081 for the purchase of the design and development upgrades to the AN/PAS-28 Medium Range Thermal Bi-ocular (MRTB). The MRTB is produced by Raytheon, the sole manufacturer and distributor of the MRTB. The following are the AN/PAS-28 MRTB upgrades: (1) Eyepiece Solar Protection, (2) Board upgrades (analog, digital and processor circuit card assembly), and (3) Global Positioning System (GPS)/Digital Magnetic Compass (DMC). The Government does not own or have the technical data package or rights to allow competition for this acquisition. The estimated cost is approximately $1.53M.
