Annual Purchase of Electric Motors, Gear Boxes and Assorted Bearings

Alachua County, through its Solid Waste and Resource Recovery department, is soliciting informal written quotes under RFQ 27-467-MM for the as-needed purchase of electric motors, gear boxes, and assorted bearings. The procurement is intended to establish a blanket purchase order for Fiscal Year 2027, covering the period from October 1, 2026, to September 30, 2027. Specific required components include Dodge pillow block bearings, Vickers Danfoss replacement coils, and various gearmotors from SEW-EURODRIVE and Radicon, as well as roller chains. Responses must be submitted electronically via the public portal by November 6, 2026, at 5:00 pm, and must include a definite delivery timeframe. The County reserves the right to reject quotes that are irregular, incomplete, or contain unauthorized alterations. Awarded vendors must meet stringent insurance requirements, including Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability, and Workers Compensation with specific minimum limits, as well as Cyber Liability coverage of at least 1 million dollars. The Alachua County Board of County Commissioners must be named as an additional insured, and the vendor's insurance must be primary. Eligible bidders must also certify that they are not on any federal or state excluded, suspended, or discriminatory vendor lists.
