AI Contract Overview
The United States Department of Agriculture’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) National Wildlife Research Center plans to award a sole source Blanket Purchase Agreement Call to Agilent Technologies Inc. for on-site repair services of scientific instruments. This agreement, executed under FAR Part 12 procedures, will ensure repairs are completed within three business days of a service request and will include factory recommended software and firmware updates, engineering upgrades, and maintenance for specific software packages such as Open Lab, Masshunter, and Mass Profiler. Agilent will exclusively use original equipment manufacturer parts, and there is no cost ceiling or additional management authorization required for repairs. This service arrangement is necessary because Agilent Technologies is the sole authorized service provider, and the use of third-party repairs would void manufacturer warranties. Though this is not a competitive solicitation, the government encourages all capable providers to submit quotes or capability statements by May 21, 2026, for consideration. The government retains full discretion in deciding whether to compete the contract based on the responses received. The contract will be managed by the USDA office in Minneapolis, MN, with performance located in Fort Collins, CO. Interested parties or those seeking further information are directed to contact Latisha Hollman via email. No costs associated with responding to this notice will be borne by the government.
