Appraisal Services

The Simcoe County District School Board has issued Request for Standing Quotations 2025-149RFSQ to secure professional appraisal services. The scope of work involves completing appraisal reports for new school sites and surplus schools, as well as providing consulting services for land acquisition, easement valuation, partial takings, and compensation assessments under the Expropriations Act. All deliverables must comply with the AIC Canadian Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and be performed by a provider with AACI, P.App. accreditation in good standing with the Ontario Association of the Appraisal Institute of Canada. Eligible respondents must demonstrate at least five years of experience in the specified appraisal areas and have a proven track record of serving school boards within Simcoe County. The evaluation process consists of a pass/fail assessment of mandatory requirements, followed by a rated evaluation where the fee structure accounts for 70 points and experience accounts for 30 points. Additionally, the Board prioritizes Canadian businesses in accordance with the Building Ontario Businesses Initiative. The resulting agreement begins on the effective date and terminates on September 30, 2028, with the possibility of three one-year extensions, potentially extending the term to September 30, 2031. Payment is processed via electronic fund transfer within 30 days of billing statement approval. Suppliers are responsible for all employee-related obligations, including WSIB and tax withholdings, and must maintain strict confidentiality regarding Board information unless legally required to disclose it.
