The County of Riverside (County) entered into a lease agreement on behalf of the Housing and Workforce Solutions (HWS) with Spruce Street Professional Building, LLC, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors on June 13, 2006 (Minute Order 3.13) (Lease). Since then, the lease terms have been modified multiple times to accommodate changes in use, space expansions and space reductions. The Lease is set to expire on September 30, 2026, and the attached Eighth Amendment to Lease (Eighth Amendment) is for a ten-year extension commencing on October 1, 2026. The leased premises continue to meet the needs of HWS and the community. The Eighth Amendment to the Lease Agreement with Spruce Street Professional Building, LLC, is defined as the proposed project under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The project is the letting of property involving existing facilities; no expansion of the existing facility will occur. The operation of the facility will continue to provide public services.
