This project is designed to establish a foundation for the Community and Social Development department's strategic planning, specifically focusing on Family and Community Supports Services and Community Development. The primary objective is to identify pressing social issues, service gaps, and emerging challenges through surveys, focus groups, and community conversations. This data will inform a new five-year strategic plan aligned with the Provincial Accountability Framework for FCSS and provincial prevention priorities regarding community wellbeing. The contract is scheduled for a twelve-month performance period from January 2027 to December 31, 2027. Key deliverables include a preliminary needs assessment and service inventory in the first half of the year, a summary report and detailed recommendations for preventative programming in the third quarter, and a final report including a presentation to the City Council in the fourth quarter.
