A Stage 1 Request for Qualification (RQ) was published on Buyandsell.gc.ca (RQ 23-223883) on September 08, 2022. The companies which qualified will now be receiving the Stage 2 RFP.The Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD) is planning to carry out an expansion of the chancery at the Consulate General of Canada to the United Arab Emirates, in Dubai. The consulate is located on the 19th floor of the Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The expansion, situated on the 18th floor, will accommodate for additional workstations, washroom facilities, meeting room, multiple closed offices, print area, and kitchenette in a total floor area of approximately 220 square meters. The chancery is located at Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Please note that one of conditions of the contract will be that the Consultant to whom the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development awards this contract, as a result of this process, shall not submit, either directly or indirectly, a bid for any Construction Contract related to the Project.DFATD is seeking to engage the services of an Architectural and Engineering firm for the design and construction contract administration phases of the expansion project at the Canadian Chancery in Dubai, UAE. The Design Services, as more fully described in Draft Contract & Project Brief, shall include, but are not limited to: Schematic Design, Design Development, Applications/submissions for required Permits (and processes of such applications), Tender Documents, Tender Evaluation, and Construction Contract Administration (including supervision of works and procedures). The A&E team shall include (but is not limited to): Architects, Engineers (S, M, E, P) and Quantity Surveyors.
