The Government of Canada, through Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Canada, is planning to carry out an expansion of the chancery at the Embassy of Canada in Doha to the State of Qatar. A Stage 1 Request for Qualification (RQ) was published on Buyandsell.gc.ca (RQ 23-221044) on September 08, 2022. The companies which qualified will now be receiving the Stage 2 RFP.The chosen Consultant will be responsible for the production of all the working drawings (final versions to be stamped by a licensed architect and a licensed engineer that have the authority in Canada or in the State of Qatar based on the drawings and scope of work that will be outlined in the Request for Proposals (RFP) - Stage 2 (henceforth referenced as RFP Stage 2) to qualified firms.Respondents must be capable of providing the full range of services required in English or French, and have the ability to participate in on-site project activities in the State of Qatar as described in the RFP Stage 2.NEW SUPPLIERSThe bid solicitation is also open to suppliers who are interested and capable of doing the work, and who demonstrate that they meet the mandatory requirements for prequalification as described in RQ 23-221044. Interested suppliers may request more information by sending an email torealproperty-contracts@international.gc.ca. The email should have NPP 23-221044 in the subject line. Canada is not required to delay the solicitation nor the award of any resulting contract.The Minister will not reimburse expenditures incurred by respondents responding to this NPP.Please note that one of conditions of the contract will be that the Consultant to whom the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development awards this contract, as a result of this process, shall not submit, either directly or indirectly, a bid for any Construction Contract related to the Project.
