Architectural and engineering services for facilities design.
Architectural and/or engineering studies and analyses including geotechnical and site surveys, master planning, architectural programming, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical and fire protection systems analysis for new and/or existing facilities; design (preliminary, final, and bidding documents) of new and/or existing facilities to include new constructions, renovations, alterations, restorations, commissioning, retro-commissioning, change in use, additions, site work and paving, utility improvements, and electrical/mechanical systems upgrades or reconfigurations. The work may also include construction support including shop drawing reviews, site inspection, and overall construction management.
The work may require the A/E firm (hereafter the A/E) to obtain specialized consulting services in the areas of geotechnical, blast resistance, progressive collapse, forensic engineering, surveying, flow modeling, and other specialized engineering services that may be needed for a specific project. The work may also include Facility Management Support, including, but not limited to: condition assessments and prioritization of maintenance and repair, utility system analysis, utility contract analysis, third-party quality assurance of operations and maintenance services, technical support on specialized Operation and Maintenance (O&M) issues, claims analysis and negotiations, project and program management including Critical Path Method (CPM) preparation and analysis.
