The Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility (CCHCF) in Arizona issued a solicitation (No. IHS1322055) on June 14, 2017, seeking offers for Art of Care Sleepers, a specific brand or equal, to be supplied to its Optometry Department. This request for proposals is structured as a combined synopsis/solicitation under FAR Subpart 12.6 and does not involve a written solicitation. The facility, a 60-bed hospital serving around 37,000 active users, offers a wide range of medical services including intensive care, surgery, obstetrics, and emergency care, making the procurement relevant to supporting its comprehensive health operations. Proposals were due by June 15, 2017. Evaluation of proposals will focus heavily on best value considerations, with emphasis on past performance, logistics, and warranty, outweighing cost or price. Socio-economic status might be a factor should multiple proposals present similar values. Interested contractors were required to submit a signed pricing schedule, a quotation, product specifications, and evidence of relevant experience providing comparable equipment to federal or large commercial/government entities within the last three years. The solicitation outlined adherence to several applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations clauses, including those related to payments, protection of government property, and termination rights. Communications and submissions were directed to the Purchasing Agent, Ashleigh Yazzie.
