Ash Creek Road at Sacramento River Overflow Bridge Replacement Project

Shasta County Public Works is initiating the Ash Creek Road at Sacramento River Overflow Bridge Replacement Project located in Anderson, California, approximately one mile east of Balls Ferry Road. The project involves replacing an existing bridge with a new 154.5-foot long, 4-span RC slab bridge on the same alignment to address a severely deteriorated deck, insufficient roadway width, and outdated guardrail and approach rail systems. The scope of work includes the bridge replacement, reconstruction and overlay of the approach roadway, installation of approach guardrails, the construction of a temporary detour roadway, and the implementation of erosion control measures. The project is classified under NAICS code 237310 and is designated as a forecast. It has been granted a Categorical Exemption under Class 2 of the California Environmental Quality Act, as the replacement will occur at the same location and maintain substantially the same purpose and capacity without significant environmental impact.
