The City of Pomona is soliciting informal quotes for a five-year contract for the purchase and delivery of various asphalt concrete materials. The scope includes the supply of Cold Mix Type II asphalt concrete, Crushed Aggregate Base Class II, and Washed Concrete Sand, with average annual usage estimated at 353 tons, 1,559 tons, and 77 tons respectively. All materials must comply with the latest Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and be delivered fresh from the plant rather than from a stockpile. Deliveries are primarily directed to 1790 E. First Street, Pomona, and must be completed within 48 hours of an order, with delivery availability required Monday through Thursday between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. Qualified bidders must be registered via the PlanetBids portal and submit electronic responses, including a signed statement of non-collusion, a minority business questionnaire, and an authorization signature. Awarded vendors must maintain a City of Pomona Business License if using non-common carrier vehicles and provide comprehensive insurance coverage, including general liability, professional liability, automobile liability, and statutory workers compensation.
