Asphaltic Concrete Pavement Preservation- 2026

The City of Newnan is soliciting sealed bids for the Asphaltic Concrete Pavement Preservation- 2026 project, which involves comprehensive roadwork including variable depth milling, deep patching, and overlay of approximately 2.703 centerline miles across nine streets, as well as full depth reclamation of approximately 19,680 square yards on three streets. The scope also includes the application of thermoplastic traffic stripes, pavement markings, and the adjustment of utility valves and manholes. All work must be performed in accordance with Georgia DOT standards and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices. The project must be completed within 180 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed, and the contractor is required to provide a minimum one-year warranty from the date of final acceptance. To be eligible, contractors must be listed on the current Georgia Department of Transportation Pre-Qualified Contractors list. The contract will be awarded to the responsive bidder offering the lowest base bid price. Bids are due by 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and must include a bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid. Successful bidders must provide performance and payment bonds for 100% of the contract price and evidence of liability insurance. Additionally, contractors must comply with the Georgia Security and Immigration Compliance Act by registering with the E-Verify program. The contractor is responsible for all quality control and quality assurance, including the retention of a Georgia DOT approved testing firm for mix designs and material testing.
