1.1 Purpose This Grant Application is a competitive process issued by the Ministry to identify organizations interested in and capable of delivering CDSS-Sensory Initiative activities, in accordance with the specifications, terms, and conditions outlined in this document. The Ministry will use this transparent process to assess applicants’ qualifications, organizational capacity, partnerships and collaborations, delivery plan, and budget. Grant Applicants are invited to submit their applications in line with all specifications and conditions provided. Applicants should carefully review all requirements in this Grant Application. Failure to meet any term, condition, or requirement may result in the submission being rejected. 1.2 Objectives The objective of CDSS–Sensory is to ensure that Albertans with sensory disabilities, whose needs may not be met through other programs, have access to appropriate resources and supports. This is achieved by delivering information, supports and navigation services to build a strong community network that: • Enable Individuals to be self-reliant and live as independently as possible. • Empower Individuals to engage with and be valued members of their community.
