Audit FRP

The City of South Portland Housing Authority is soliciting proposals for professional audit services under solicitation number 10192026. The selected firm will be engaged for an initial three-year term to perform audits in accordance with Generally Accepted Auditing Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, HUD and REAC guidelines, and Uniform Guidance 2 CFR Part 200. Key performance milestones include completing field work within 120 days of the fiscal year end, providing preliminary draft reports within 180 days, and issuing the final report within 30 days of the draft. Additionally, the auditor must perform the REAC attestation function annually via the internet. Proposals are due by November 1, 2026, and must be submitted electronically to Val Koval. The award will be based on the best interest of the Authority, and the successful firm must agree to sign annual contracts using the standard HUD audit contract.
