Authorization to Advertise and Award of a Construction Manager at Risk Contract for Major Systems Renovation of the San Diego Central Jail

This project consists of renovating the San Diego Central Jail major systems including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, kitchen and laundry facilities, as well as modernizing dormitory rooms and office spaces. The scope of this work includes tenant improvements to the kitchen, housing units, and administrative areas, as well as modernizing plumbing, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning, and electrical throughout the facility, and installing new integrated electronic security and control systems, fire alarms, and communications systems (radio/data/phone). The project would not expand the footprint or capacity of the facility.
