AI Contract Overview
Shared Services Canada, on behalf of the Government of Canada, has issued a Request for Information under solicitation number BPM025917/33776 to gather industry insights in support of a potential future procurement of Automation Software. The RFI aims to assess the marketplace for Automation Software, including integrated software and service offerings, with a focus on Robotic Process Automation and its integration with emerging technologies such as Generative and Agentic Artificial Intelligence. The government seeks to understand industry capabilities, technological trends, and the landscape of available solutions while also gathering input on data and digital sovereignty considerations to ensure alignment with national priorities. This initiative is not a procurement but rather a foundational step to inform the development of a future procurement strategy, including technical requirements, financial models, and evaluation methodologies. Amendments have been issued to correct the language indicator in the French version of the document and to post additional questions and answers for clarity. Responses are due by May 14, 2026, and the solicitation is open to suppliers worldwide with performance expected across Canada and internationally. Primary point of contact is Matthew Woods, reachable at 873-455-2856.
