Avenue 56 Farm to Market Route Improvements

Tulare County is preparing to undertake approximately 7.2 miles of roadway improvements along a stretch from State Route 43 to State Route 99, focusing on pavement rehabilitation through isolated repairs followed by a full-width overlay. The project includes the complete reconstruction of the intersection at Avenue 56 and North Front Street, ensuring smoother traffic flow and enhanced safety. All newly surfaced sections will be marked with new traffic stripes and pavement markings to improve visibility and guidance for drivers. The work is designed to strengthen the county’s transportation infrastructure, promoting safer and more reliable travel for the public across the region. Construction is scheduled to commence in the spring of 2027 and is expected to be finalized by summer of the same year.
