Full Description

This notice is being publicized in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101 requiring Contracting Officers to disseminate information for proposed contract actions expected to exceed $25,000.00. Further in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1 it is the intent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to make award to TanMar Communications, LLC. The proposed purchase order is for supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with TanMar Communications, LLC. for an AVL Satellite System designed to include equipment configurations that will allow uniformity and usage with existing VSAT units throughout DEA. TanMar Communications, LLC. is the sole manufacturer and holder of all proprietary rights to the system. This acquisition will be conducted under test program described in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Subpart 13.5. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) is not available. Closing date is November 26, 2010 at 10:00AM Eastern Standard Time.
