The U.S. General Services Administration, specifically the PBS R4 Office of Leasing, is seeking to secure 21,999 square feet of office space in Cary, North Carolina. The requirement specifies a fully serviced lease for a firm five-year term beginning September 18, 2024. The facility must include 44 surface parking spaces and adhere to strict government standards regarding fire safety, accessibility, seismic stability, and sustainability. Additionally, the space must not be located within a 1-percent or 0.2-percent annual chance floodplain. Under solicitation 3NC0367, the government pursued a Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition to negotiate an unevaluated renewal with the incumbent lessor. This action was taken after market research and public advertisements on SAM.gov failed to identify any acceptable alternative locations that could meet the agency's specific needs. Consequently, the incumbent lessor was determined to be the only responsible source capable of providing the required office space for the designated term.
