Full Description

The U.S. Department of State, Office of Acquisitions Management intends to issue a Sole Source contract to AFIX Technologies, Inc., 205 N. Walnut; Pittsburg, KS 66762 under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is for the AFIX Systems Upgrade to AFIX Tracker Gold v.6.3 Automated Fingerprint/palm Print Identification Systems with Gold v.6.3 single user license for windows and 1-year AFIX Tracker Maintenance & Support included. This requirement also includes hardware replacement and Crossmatch support and hardware upgrade. This also includes two component training: a USER AND Train the Trainers Training. A copy of the Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition is attached. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government intends to acquire commercial items using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13. Interested parties may identify their interest and must provide evidence of their capability to respond to this requirement by 12:00 p.m. Easter Standard Time, June 15, 2017. NOTE: JUSTIFICATION AND APPROVAL FOR OTHER THAN FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION Sole Source). The statutory authority permitting other than full and open competition is 41 USC 3304 (a)(1). The regulatory authority is FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or service will satisfy the agency's requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
