Azusa Greens Redevelopment Project

The Azusa Greens Redevelopment Project, managed by the City of Azusa, involves the comprehensive redevelopment of a private golf course property located at 919 Sierra Madre Avenue in Azusa, California. The scope of work includes the construction of six new industrial buildings totaling 353,075 square feet across 19.33 acres and the development of a 230-unit age-restricted residential community on 19.82 acres. Additionally, the project entails the renovation and repurposing of the existing golf course clubhouse for event use and the reconfiguration of portions of the existing golf course. To facilitate these developments, the project requires a General Plan Amendment to change the property designation from Recreation to Medium Density Residential and Light Industrial. Key approvals include a tentative parcel map, tentative tract map, design review, a minor use permit for outdoor storage, and a use permit for 24-hour operations at three of the six industrial buildings. The project has been approved as of January 20, 2026, following compliance with CEQA provisions, including the preparation of an Environmental Impact Report and a Negative Declaration. Subsequent approvals for a Zone Change and Development Agreement are expected.
