General Information Document Type: Pre-Award Synopsis Program: Repair of B-1 Radar Power Supply, Processor, Synchronizer and Electronic Component Solicitation Number: FA811717R0002 Posted Date: 7 October 2016 Anticipated Contract Award: 30 Jan 2017 Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, AFSC PZABA, Tinker AFB, 3001 Staff Drive, Tinker AFB, OK 73145, UNITED STATES Description The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry of the Air Forces' intent to award a Sole Source follow on contract directed towards the Northrop Grumman Corporation' Inc. with a Cage Code of 97942 pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c )(1) and 10 USC2304(d)(1)(i)(ii), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). Northrop Grumman Corporation Inc. is the only source with the technical expertise, and proprietary data, parts, assembly and disassembly procedures necessary to provide continued support of this repair effort. The Northrop Grumman Corporation Inc. is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the only responsible source that can satisfy the agency requirement and provide these unique skills to meet the B-1 Radar Power Supply, Processor, Synchronizer and Electronic Component repair requirement. The the B-1 Radar Power Supply, Processor, Synchronizer and Electronic Component repair requirement are unique and require specialized programming. The items power, process, analyze, interface and interpret radar data for the B-1. The proposed North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Codes are as follows: 336413 Aircraft Manufacturing with a size standard of 1000 CONTRACT TYPE, PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SMALL BUSINESS SUBCONTRACTING The current acquisition strategy is to issue a Firm Fixed Price contract under FAR 15. The contemplated period of performance is 30 January 2017 through 29 July 2018. The government has determined that this effort will not be small business set-aside. The contractor will be required to meet all small business participation requirements included in the contract, and fulfill all the requirements of the subcontracting plan included in the contract.
