B-1B Lancer Digital Antenna Electronics (DAE) Upgrade

The Department of Defense, specifically the AFLCMC/WBK at Tinker AFB, is conducting market research via a Sources Sought and Request for Information (RFI) for the B-1B Lancer Digital Antenna Electronics (DAE) Upgrade. The B-1 System Program Office intends to procure between 60 and 130 DAE units to replace existing Antenna Electronics Units (AEUs), aiming to provide the B-1B Lancer with resilient navigation and timing capabilities in contested, GPS-degraded, and GPS-denied environments. The required DAE units must be fully compatible with the GAS-1 Controlled Reception Pattern Antenna (CRPA) P/N 01-01664 and support M-code GPS encryption modes. Technical requirements include null-steering, beamforming, and digital filtering to mitigate jamming and spoofing, while adhering to strict size, weight, power, and cost (SWaP-C) constraints, ideally fitting the footprint of the legacy Raytheon AEU. Systems must also comply with MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461 standards. This pre-solicitation effort is open to U.S. and non-U.S. firms of all business sizes, including those in socioeconomic programs such as 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, and Women Owned Small Business. Interested respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and provide a capabilities package in PDF format not exceeding 15 pages by September 11, 2026. Submissions should include a rough order of magnitude (ROM) for various quantity ranges, a proposed delivery schedule for prototypes and production units, and statements of compliance regarding ITAR, the Buy-American Act, and export controls.
